<br/>New York Giants punter Jeff Feagles will return for a 19th season in 2006. Feagles, 40, had considered retiring after the 2005 season. He decided recently to return to the team after reaching an agreement under which he will be able to see his wife and four children in Arizona during the season, the team said.<br/>

<br/>The New York Giants re-signed wide receiver Tim Carter on Friday. The Giants also were awarded wide receiver Harry Williams, who was waived by the Green Bay Packers earlier this month. Carter has 49 receptions for 714 yards and one touchdown in a four-year career marred by injury. His best season was in 2003, when he had 26 catches for 309 yards, but he only had 10 receptions last season.<br/>

In 2005, Carter played in a career-high 15 games with one start and caught 10 passes for 186 yards, a team-high 18.6-yard average. Carter also gained 46 yards on six rushing attempts. He missed the regular-season finale and the Giants' playoff loss to Carolina because of a hip injury.<br/>

He had been a restricted free agent and, as such, was vulnerable to any other team in search of a dynamic special teams performer. In fact, Tyree, the team's third pick in the sixth round of 2003, was named to the NFC Pro Bowl team as the special teams selection.   He signed a five-year contract valued at $1.<br/>

<p>The <b>New York Giants</b> are a professional American football team based in the New York City metropolitan area. The team is headquartered, trains, and plays its home games in the suburb of East Rutherford, New Jersey. They currently belong to the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Giants were one of five teams that joined the NFL in 1925, but the only one admitted that year that still exists. The Giants have won four NFL Championships and two Super Bowls.</p>  <p>To distinguish itself from the professional baseball team of the same name, the football team was referred to as the <b>New York Football Giants</b>. Although the baseball team moved to San Francisco in 1957, the football team continues to use "New York Football Giants" as its legal corporate name.</p>
